How lotteries measure, reduce and report carbon emissions

Webinar Recap: How Lotteries Measure Carbon Emissions

On September 4th, 2024, the European Lotteries Association hosted an insightful webinar titled "How Lotteries Measure Carbon Emissions" which brought together experts and practitioners to discuss the practicalities of carbon measurement within the lottery sector. This event showcased the robust carbon measurement tool available to EL Environmental Initiative signatories and featured real-world examples and demonstrations to help attendees understand its application.

Highlighting the Carbon Measurement Tool

The webinar kicked off with a comprehensive demonstration by Heidi Florence, Carbon Reporting Manager at DigitalRG. Heidi provided an in-depth walkthrough of the carbon measurement tool, a powerful resource designed to help lotteries assess their carbon footprint accurately and efficiently.

The tool, now available to all EL Environmental Initiative signatories, offers a user-friendly interface that simplifies the complex process of carbon data collection and reporting. Heidi emphasised the importance of this tool in helping organizations transition towards more sustainable practices by allowing them to track their emissions, identify key areas for improvement, and develop targeted strategies to reduce their environmental impact.
