IUCN World Conservation Congress

IUCN World Conservation Congress

Every four years, the IUCN World Conservation Congress brings together global leaders, experts, scientists, policymakers, indigenous representatives, NGOs, and industry actors to set the agenda for nature conservation and sustainable development.

The Congress is structured around three main components:

  • Forum (9-12 October): A knowledge marketplace featuring thematic sessions, dialogues, and innovation showcases across social, economic, scientific, and technical domains
  • Exhibition (9-13 October): Open to participants and the public, presenting member organizations, partners, and researchers with stands, interactive exhibits, and showcases of conservation initiatives
  • Members’ Assembly (13-15 October): The decision-making body of IUCN where member organizations vote on motions, elect the Council, and set conservation priorities for the coming years

The Congress will feature over 500 sessions, more than 70 interactive exhibitions, and participation from 1,400+ member organizations across 140+ countries.

Headline speakers will include global figures such as Razan Al Mubarak (IUCN President), Grethel Aguilar Rojas, Jane Goodall, Rob Walton, and others.
