Climate Week 4 (CW4): Implementation Forum

The Climate Week 4 (CW4): Implementation Forum will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 9 to 10 September 2026, as part of UNFCCC Climate Week 4, which runs from 7 to 11 September 2026.

With a strong focus on climate action implementation, the forum will bring together representatives from different stakeholder groups, including the private sector, subnational actors, civil society, academia and others, to join policymakers in discussions on collaboration and implementable solutions for ambitious climate action.

The thematic focus of the forum will be based on the six axes of the Global Climate Action Agenda, ensuring alignment with the outcomes of the first Global Stocktake while also reflecting broader priorities relevant to implementation, including industrial decarbonisation and access to finance.

As a key pillar of UNFCCC Climate Weeks, the Implementation Forum will provide a space for Parties and non-Party stakeholders to exchange practical implementation solutions, highlight region-specific initiatives, draw on global expertise and support preparations towards the second Global Stocktake.

The forum will include dynamic event formats designed to facilitate interaction among participants, such as Implementation Labs, Impact Dialogues and other UNFCCC events. Further details of the programme are expected to be announced.

Registration is available through the official UNFCCC/Indico registration page. This registration is solely for the Implementation Forum. Delegates already nominated and registered for the mandated events taking place during Climate Week 4 will be able to join the two-day Implementation Forum without registering separately.

Space is limited, and applications will be accepted with consideration for diversity and balanced stakeholder representation.
