WoTA Webinar on US situation

Since the 2018 repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), the United States has undergone a dramatic transformation in its betting landscape. At the time of the Supreme Court’s decision, Nevada was the only state offering comprehensive, legal, regulated sports betting. As of 2025, around 38 states have legalised sports betting, with Missouri expected to become the 39th.

This webinar, hosted by the World Tote Association (WoTA), will examine the evolution of the US sports betting market, the rise of dominant sports like basketball, American football (NFL), and baseball, and the implications of this shift for horseracing.
