Senior Manager – Compliance
Birmingham, West Midlands (with hybrid working)
We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to join our Compliance team in Birmingham. You will be responsible for compliance activity for the Licensee holding the 4th National Lottery licence and supporting the wider team with our compliance activity for all other licensees that hold a GB gambling licence.

Your Role:
As a Senior Manager, you will work as part of the Compliance leadership team to manage and develop a high-performing front-line team of multi-skilled staff to successfully deliver a compliance programme which includes a programme of assessments, risk based reactive compliance work and other ad-hoc projects at pace to challenging deadlines.
Your role will also involve:
- Working closely with the 4th National lottery programme to support their programme of compliance activity.
- Leading on our activity to ensure the industry is complying with legislation.
- Keeping up to date with trends and developments in the tech and mobile environments.
- Working to ensure consumers’ interests are at the heart of everything we do.
- Working to ensure that the National Lottery in the UK is run fairly and transparently.
- Building effective working relationships at a senior level both internally and externally.
- Leading on incidents and issues originating from national lottery activity.
- Planning and leading proactive compliance activity.
- Acting as a point of contact for national lottery enquiries.
About You:
Essential:
To be considered as a Senior Manager, you will need:
- Broad experience in a regulatory or policy analysis environment, with a focus on compliance, audit, risk identification and management and evidence identification, gathering and presentation.
- Ability to manage and develop staff (including field based) across a diverse programme of activities within tight deadlines to deliver results.
- Capable of communicating with a wide range of individuals to build effective working relationships.
- Ability to interpret legislation and legislative changes and understand how this will impact our work.
- Demonstrable experience of taking responsibility for identifying, driving and supporting change and continuous improvement to help raise standards.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to lead a project from inception to conclusion.
- Excellent writing and drafting skills.
- Willingness to travel.
An understanding of the gambling industry with awareness of online gambling products would be desirable.
