IGT Indiana, a division of IGT, collaborates with the State Lottery Commission of Indiana to boost the sales of Hoosier Lottery tickets, aiming to generate over $1.5 billion in annual sales while upholding social responsibility. The Lottery Sales Representative role, located in Mishawaka, IN, primarily covers Colombia City, Warsaw, Plymouth, and North Manchester. The position focuses on small format stores, including convenience and liquor stores, with occasional coverage of larger formats based on geographic needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Merchandising: Act as the primary salesperson for small format accounts, ensuring effective management of Self-Service equipment, inventory, and merchandising according to company guidelines.
  • Retailer Engagement: Discuss quarterly incentive goals with retailers, conduct business reviews, and provide feedback on lottery products to sales management.
  • Promotional Activities: Execute business plan initiatives, new game launches, and retailer-specific sales promotions to maximize display presence and product activation.
  • Compliance and Support: Uphold retailer lottery contract policies, assist with licensing processes, and maintain accurate sales data using Sales Wizard.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, sales/marketing, or related field; equivalent experience may substitute formal education.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of retail sales or consumer packaged goods experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in sales closing, relationship building, basic accounting, and the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Requirements: Valid driver's license, the ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, lift up to 50 pounds, and work flexible hours including weekends.

The role demands excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to articulate sales and marketing concepts persuasively. The representative must be able to travel almost 100% of the time, stand for extended periods, and stay overnight as necessary for state sales meetings. This position is crucial in driving sales, maintaining strong retailer relationships, and ensuring the effective implementation of promotional strategies for the Hoosier Lottery.
