Lazlo is seeking a seasoned Director of Lottery Operations to oversee its Lottery and Gaming operations center for State Lotteries. The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in the lottery and/or gaming industry, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of operations management experience, overseeing five or more direct reports.

The Director of Lottery Operations will be responsible for ensuring uptime for revenue-generating and customer-facing production systems, as well as ensuring that front-line and support staff are proficiently trained for support, administration, troubleshooting, and incident handling. They will also ensure that policies and processes are in place to facilitate the effective maintenance and support of cloud systems, liaise with other departments, partners, and vendors, provide leadership, mentoring, and support for staff, and assign, delegate, and prioritize tasks.

In addition to their leadership duties, the Director of Lottery Operations will also be responsible for guiding, analyzing, and providing feedback on various departmental initiatives and organizational projects. They will oversee budget approvals, track and forecast expenditures, analyze and approve winning ticket investigations, approve access to production systems, and manage incident and problem management for production systems, including performing risk analysis and decision-making tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a positive and enthusiastic attitude that promotes high staff morale, excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with multiple leadership levels, customer groups, and partners. They must also be self-managed and internally motivated, capable of maintaining stable performance and daily workflow management under pressure, and able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Additionally, they should possess excellent presentation skills, as they will be required to make presentations before groups. Finally, they must be adaptable and able to handle ever-changing demands within diverse environments.
